About The Position

PadSplit is seeking a Creative Director to elevate its brand and lead its creative team. This role is crucial for driving trust, acquisition, and business results by leveraging creative as a strategic growth lever. The Creative Director will influence national marketing campaigns, social content, and the overall brand experience for members, hosts, and partners. This is a player-coach role for a creative leader who enjoys building and leading, is adept with modern creative tools including AI, and can balance brand storytelling with performance marketing. The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting strategy to executives, coaching designers, and contributing directly to creative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • 8+ years leading brand, marketing, or creative organizations with at least 3 years managing creative teams.
  • Comfortable both leading others and personally contributing to creative strategy, reviews, and execution when needed (Player-Coach Style).
  • Experience creating creative that not only looks exceptional but improves acquisition, conversion, and customer engagement (Performance Mindset).
  • Experience building scalable creative operations using systems, vendors, contractors, and repeatable processes (Operational Excellence).
  • Comfortable incorporating AI tools into creative workflows to improve speed, quality, and efficiency while maintaining authenticity (AI Fluency).
  • Ability to connect creative decisions to business objectives, customer insights, and measurable outcomes (Strategic Thinking).
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Executive Leadership (Cross-Functional Influence).
  • Excited by using creative storytelling to build trust and advance PadSplit's mission of expanding affordable housing (Mission Alignment).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Creative Vision: Set and evolve PadSplit's creative direction across all customer touchpoints, ensuring a consistent and trusted brand experience.
  • Coach The Team: Lead, mentor, and develop designers, contractors, and agency partners, while remaining hands-on in key creative initiatives.
  • Drive Campaigns: Partner with Marketing to create high-performing creative across paid, organic, lifecycle, email, social, and emerging channels.
  • Build Operations: Establish scalable creative workflows, production systems, quality standards, and resource management to enable speed without sacrificing quality.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Growth, Legal, and Operations to ensure creative is integrated early in major initiatives.
  • Strengthen Brand: Own PadSplit's visual identity, creative standards, messaging consistency, and overall brand reputation across all channels.
  • Leverage Customer Insights: Translate research, customer feedback, and performance data into stronger creative strategies and messaging.
  • Measure Performance: Use creative performance metrics, experimentation, and AI-powered workflows to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and creative output.
