Creative Director (U.S.)

beehiiv
•$180,000 - $220,000

About The Position

beehiiv is hiring a Creative Director to lead the brand’s story, personality, and creative expression across campaigns, creator and media partnerships, content franchises, and major annual moments. The role combines creative strategy and hands-on making: originating ideas, shaping briefs, directing teams and partners, presenting concepts, and carrying work through to its final execution. In the first year, the role is expected to focus roughly 80% on leading beehiiv’s highest-priority campaigns and brand moments and 20% on building the creative function. The Creative Director will set the vision for integrated campaigns and brand activations, lead production, and ensure strong execution across channels including social, digital, out-of-home, experiential, video, photography, and partnerships. Working closely with Paid Marketing, Lifecycle, Product Marketing, Social, and Comms, this person will connect creative work to business impact, use testing and performance insights to improve campaigns, and establish a system for turning campaign ideas into effective always-on paid creative. The role will also establish creative principles, processes, and rituals; build a network of creative partners; experiment with AI tools, rough cuts, and prototypes; and mentor talent as the team grows. Success includes launching standout integrated campaigns, establishing a distinctive beehiiv creative voice, developing a testing engine, and building a pipeline of tentpole moments and signature content franchises.
