The Creative Director is the face of creative on their accounts. They lead concept development and the campaigns that grow out of it. On some of that work, they execute hands-on at a senior level. For the rest, they manage and develop the creative team producing it. They immerse themselves in their clients' businesses, technologies, and markets deeply enough to own the work and the relationship, and they hold the line on quality whether the work is theirs or the team's. This role requires a creative leader who owns the work on their accounts, directing the team's output and holding the standard on everything that reaches a client. The ideal candidate is still hands-on in the craft, executing at a senior level on the work that calls for it, and setting the bar by what they make as much as what they direct. They must be able to take a complex B2B business and find the idea that makes it land with real people, then sell it in the room. This role also involves being a developer of people, giving direct feedback, creating real opportunities, and taking the team's growth personally. The candidate should be commercially sharp, running creative on their accounts profitably and building client relationships that grow. They must also be ahead of the problem, whether that's work drifting off strategy, a team stretched too thin, or a client losing confidence.
