About The Position

The GTME Ecosystem team is seeking exceptional individuals to define their own roles within the organization. This is an open invitation for candidates to propose how they would contribute to the GTME Ecosystem, building programs, community, and resources for the rapidly evolving field of GTM engineering. The role is akin to a mini-founder, where the individual brings the idea, plan, and execution, supported by Clay's platform, brand, community, and resources. The work involves owning a specific area ('wedge') end-to-end, operating with founder-like autonomy, compounding the existing ecosystem, moving at an AI-native pace, and raising the team's overall standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the ability to create a role by submitting a portfolio or creative project that makes the case for the desired role.
  • Provide a clear thesis for the proposed role.
  • Develop a specific 30/60/90 day plan with defined success metrics.
  • Showcase a portfolio of past work (side projects, communities, content, products, events).
  • Articulate a point of view on the GTM profession and the impact of AI.
  • Express a clear 'why Clay, why this team, why now'.
  • Exhibit mini-founder qualities: having started and launched something independently.
  • Possess exceptionality in a specific area, evidenced by a body of work.
  • Demonstrate obsession with GTM and AI, with opinions on the future direction.
  • Be a great storyteller, able to pitch ideas concisely and execute effectively.
  • Exhibit high agency and low ego, operating without waiting for permission and not needing credit.
  • Show proven hunger and a history of achieving unreasonable things.

Responsibilities

  • Define and propose a unique role within the GTME Ecosystem.
  • Develop a clear thesis for the proposed role, including the problem it solves, its timeliness, and its integration with or creation of new surface areas within the ecosystem (e.g., Cohorts, University, Community, Clubs, Talent Marketplace, Partnerships, Campus Programs, Certifications).
  • Create a 30/60/90 day plan with specific, measurable outputs and define success metrics for 6 and 12 months.
  • Demonstrate a portfolio of past work showcasing built, shipped, written, taught, hosted, designed, or grown initiatives.
  • Articulate a point of view on the GTM profession and how AI is reshaping it.
  • Explain the motivation for joining Clay, the GTME team, and the timing of the application.
  • Own a chosen 'wedge' from strategy to execution and measurement, with full creative latitude and accountability.
  • Operate as a founder within the team, setting the roadmap, recruiting resources, and shipping in public.
  • Ensure the work compounds and enhances existing ecosystem areas like Cohorts, University, Community, and Talent Marketplace.
  • Operate at an AI-native pace, prioritizing shipping and learning over lengthy development cycles.
  • Raise the bar for the team through ideas, taste, and standards.

Benefits

  • Work for free with world-class coaches specializing in creativity, management, and more.
