About The Position

The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Relationship Manager will maintain an active CRE business development effort through prospect calling, referral source motivation, and community involvement. This role involves timely recording of sales and approving credits within given authority. The Relationship Manager will present credit offerings to senior management and be able to respond knowledgeably and confidently. Primary responsibilities include identifying, maintaining, and growing relationships with institutional and middle-market real estate companies, delivering the Bank’s full product suite, services, and capabilities. The role also involves preparing recommendations for structuring loans, including syndication strategies, and preparing necessary documentation for loan origination, structuring, and execution of large, complex transactions. Performing activities associated with the generation and assessment of new loans, including risk assessment, generating targeted returns, structuring credit terms, coordinating due diligence, and marketing are also key functions. The position supports the Portfolio Management team with ongoing credit management and coordinates efforts with internal product partners such as Treasury Management, Derivatives, and Capital Markets. Establishing and cultivating Bank and Institutional Relationships across the Financial Services Sector is crucial.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Commercial Real Estate Relationship Management and performance management experience with ability to manage and grow significant customer portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to develop deep meaningful relationships.
  • Proven sales ability with good computer skills for recording and tracking results.
  • Experience with a variety of CRE asset classes, including Senior Housing, Multi-Family, Mixed Use Industrial, and Institutional.
  • Experience with all credit lending products, including Construction, Bridge, Term and Unsecured Lines of Credit.
  • A four-year business degree with successful completion of a credit training program.

  • Support Portfolio Management team with various ongoing credit management.
  • Coordinate efforts with internal product partners: Treasury Management, Derivatives, Capital Markets, etc.
  • Establish and cultivate Bank and Institutional Relationships across the Financial Services Sector.
