CRE Analyst at UC Funds

Hire5•Miami, FL

About The Position

UC Funds is building its first remote analytical seat. The firm screens, underwrites and packages bridge deals continuously, and sells participations in them to co-lender partners. This role will handle the execution layer, including modeling, screening, and packaging deals, allowing senior personnel to focus on origination and credit decisions. The analyst will be responsible for both outward-facing packaging for co-lending partners and inward-facing analysis to protect the firm's position. This is a non-support role where the analyst owns the analysis end-to-end and their work is presented externally. This role is a pilot for expanding UC Funds' remote analytical team.

Requirements

  • From-scratch financial modeling in Excel, including cash flows, debt sizing, IRR/NPV, and sensitivities, with the ability to explain assumptions.
  • Experience in underwriting from primary deal documents such as rent rolls, operating statements, T-12s, capex budgets, and leases to form a view.
  • Understanding of lender-side analysis, including loan sizing, DSCR, debt yield, LTV/LTC, interest reserves, and structure, with experience in sizing or structuring debt.
  • Experience writing third-party-ready output such as credit memos, IC materials, or offering memoranda that were acted upon by external parties.
  • Fluency in US commercial real estate, including US lease structures, operating statement formats, and market data sources.
