About The Position

Webber, part of Ferrovial Construction, is hiring a Crawler Tractor Bulldozer Operator for heavy civil construction work. The operator safely and efficiently operates a bulldozer for earthmoving activities, including cutting ditches, slopes, and grades; clearing brush; and shaping and dressing slopes. The role also involves coordinating truck positioning, avoiding jobsite hazards, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and following company safety policies and procedures. The position reports to a Foreman and involves strenuous physical activity in outdoor construction environments with changing and sometimes extreme weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Ability to move throughout a construction jobsite, including navigating minor obstacles and climbing ladders and inclines.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of and compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Selected candidates must pass a drug screen; field-position candidates must pass a medical exam to assess their capacity to perform job tasks.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Three or more years of related construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bulldozer safely and efficiently.
• Cut ditches, slopes, and grades; clear brush; shape and dress slopes; and perform other earthmoving activities.
• Start engines and use throttles, switches, levers, and pedals to operate machinery.
• Signal truck drivers to position trucks for loading dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take action to avoid hazards and obstructions, including utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects.
• Perform equipment maintenance, including oiling, greasing, and other machine servicing.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
