About The Position

Kidco Construction is currently seeking a mechanically-inclined and skilled Crane Truck Operator to join our field maintenance division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating an 18-speed picker truck (Kenworth T800 or similar) equipped with a 7–8 ton knuckle boom. Mechanical inclination is necessary for daily job tasks such as helping disassemble heavy construction equipment, pulling power packs from machines, and craning equipment parts for mechanics. The role requires the ability to work alone or collaborate with field mechanics and other field maintenance staff. The operator must complete all required paperwork accurately and in compliance with weight and transport regulations, and demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and pride in their work. Physical capability for tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting is also necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an 18-speed picker truck (Kenworth T800 or similar) equipped with a 7–8 ton knuckle boom.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Ability to work alone or collaborate with field mechanics and other field maintenance staff.
• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with Q endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Physically capable of tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 18-speed picker truck (Kenworth T800 or similar) equipped with a 7–8 ton knuckle boom.
• Assist in disassembling heavy construction equipment.
• Pull power packs from machines.
• Crane equipment parts for mechanics.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in compliance with weight and transport regulations.
