The Regional Technical Specialist (RTS) will work jointly with the Maintenance Manager, Rig Maintenance Specialists, and Operations Management to ensure compliance with the company’s Maintenance Management System (MMS) for assigned equipment and locations. The RTS must demonstrate the ability to identify and mitigate hazards, reducing the risk of personal injury or property damage for any jobs performed. The RTS will assist with the training and development of RMSs, and will be responsible for assisting and directing RMSs in troubleshooting both basic and complex maintenance matters for equipment assigned to the region. The RTS will assist the Maintenance Manager in auditing assigned locations to ensure compliance with the MMS. The RTS will be responsible for assisting and directing RMSs in performing both basic and complex repairs. The RTS will provide support to all other areas of the Company as required. The RTS must be able to review and provide guidance to RMSs related to faults generated by assigned equipment, including faults from cranes and mobile equipment. The RTS will be responsible for entering information into the Electronic Maintenance Management System as required. The RTS will assist in conducting failure analysis, determining root causes for incidents arising from maintenance-related incidents/failures. The RTS must be able to follow reporting requirements as required by management. Within an established authorization level, the RTS will secure parts and other consumables through the Company’s procurement system. Other tasks may be required by the Maintenance Chain of Command.
