About The Position
The Crane Rigger is responsible for safely attaching, securing, and guiding loads during crane lifting operations on a construction site. This role works closely with crane operators and ground crews to ensure all lifting activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a crane rigger in construction or industrial projects
- Knowledge of rigging methods, load handling, and standard hand signals
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy materials
Nice To Haves
- NCCCO Rigger Certification (or equivalent)
- Signal Person Certification
Responsibilities
- Attach and secure loads to cranes using slings, chains, and rigging equipment
- Signal crane operators during lifting and positioning of materials
- Inspect rigging equipment before use to ensure safety compliance
- Ensure loads are balanced, stable, and safely moved
- Follow OSHA and site safety regulations at all times
- Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, and ground crew
- Assist with general construction tasks as needed
