About The Position

The Crane Resolution Specialist will maintain maximum throughput and up time for the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). The specialist will monitor all crane operations from the warehouse floor by monitoring crane operations via computer screen to resolve pallet locations in error status. This role requires basic computer skills and familiarity with Excel worksheets. The individual will drive a 3-wheeled cart to the location of a crane issue, investigate and resolve issues found in pick up and delivery by crane to stations. They may remove plastic or cardboard from a pallet that could be causing a crane issue and contact crane mechanics to resolve on-going issues. The role requires adherence to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment. Temperatures in the warehouse can vary between 40-70 degrees.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with Excel worksheets.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to lift cases by hand weighing from 25 to 95 pounds.
  • Can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets.
  • Expected to work productively and safely.
  • Steel toed safety shoes are required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
  • Mental reasoning capabilities and mature problem solving skills while managing multiple priorities.
  • Interact respectfully and courteously with employees, co-workers, management, customers and vendors.
  • Demonstrate safety consciousness and set tone for safe, productive, respectful work environment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of preventive measures to reduce freight and property damage.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution setting or knowledge of logistics is preferred but not required.
  • Experience operating powered warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts a plus.
