About The Position

As a crane operator for Logistec Terminals, you will be responsible for operating Jib and Gantry cranes onboard cargo vessels. You will be responsible for your safety as well as others in your gang.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification.
Minimum of 4 years industry experience.
Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and ANSI Standards in crane operations.
Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
Pass drug test, background, and medical check.
Daily and monthly equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

Operating the crane under supervision.
Operate a variety of material-moving equipment daily according to schedule and instructions from operations manager.
Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site.
Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.
Provide additional support to other crane operators as necessary, including working overtime to complete tasks, operating several types of equipment and training, or monitoring junior operators.
Inspecting the crane before use to ensure its safety.
Performing routine maintenance as required.
Understanding and executing the job billing process.
Wearing PPE safety equipment.
Using lever and pedal controls efficiently.
