About The Position

A Crane Operator position is available at Garney Construction. The crane operator may perform functions of a laborer as required. This role involves operating hydraulic or crawler cranes and understanding safe working loads and signals. Knowledge of crane/boom signals, blocks and tackle, wire rope, synthetic rope and slings, safe working loads and proper rigging procedures is essential. Additionally, understanding equipment mechanics and maintenance is required.

Requirements

• 5 years in construction experience.
• NCCCO crane operator certification.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Willing to travel out of state and/or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of crane/boom signals, blocks and tackle, wire rope, synthetic rope and slings, safe working loads and proper rigging procedures.
• Operate hydraulic or crawler crane.
• Understand safe working loads and signals.
• Knowledge of equipment mechanics and maintenance.
• Perform functions of a laborer as required.
