About The Position

Turner Industries Group is seeking an experienced NCCCO or NCCER Crane Operator for an upcoming Turnaround in Old Ocean, TX. Qualified candidates should submit a resume and/or walk in to Pasadena Personnel and Training Center. This is a non-exempt role that reports to the Site Manager / Area Safety Manager. Assigned duties are according to specific procedures and work is checked frequently. There is no Per Diem offered, making this ideal for candidates local to the area. The role will involve work during the pre-down, TAR, and demobilization phases, with an approximate duration of 8 months. Working hours will be 5-8s pre- and post-TAR, and 7-10 during TAR, with shifts TBD and subject to change.

Requirements

  • NCCCO or NCCER Certification for both small and large hydraulic cranes required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • 20/40 vision, with or without correction, required
  • ANSI approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place

Responsibilities

  • Operation of various power-driven and hydraulic machinery used to move materials.
  • Providing crane lifting and rigging support.
  • Equipment preventative maintenance and inspection.
  • Operates various power-driven machinery used to move dirt or other materials.
  • May operate all or some of the following types of equipment: backhoe, bulldozer, crane, dragline, front-end loader, motor grader, cherry picker, dump truck, etc.
  • Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment.
  • Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.
  • Reads and interprets load charts.
  • May assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects.
  • May be required to manipulate equipment on un-level working surfaces.
  • May perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment.
