About The Position

The selected candidate will operate various bridge and gantry cranes. Candidates should possess the ability to perform basic math skills to include simple area, volume, weight calculations and center of gravity. Should be able to learn universal hands signals for proper crane operation. A sign-on bonus is offered based on years of experience: 1-5 years experience receives a $2500 sign-on bonus, and 6+ years experience receives a $5000 sign-on bonus. Current HII employees are not eligible for the bonus.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in crane operations.
Ability to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces.
Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Ability to perform overhead work.
Ability to take and pass a respirator fit test.
Ability to work assigned shift as production needs.
Basic math skills including simple area, volume, weight calculations and center of gravity.
Ability to learn universal hands signals for proper crane operation.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience in one or more of the type cranes listed above with a capacity greater than 10 ton.
