About The Position

Repcon, Inc. is seeking a Crane Operator with industrial crane operating experience in a petrochemical or related industrial fabrication facility. The operator may work under supervision to inspect and operate cranes, lift and position machinery, equipment, and other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities, and operate the crane according to signals. The role also involves placing blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing, reading load charts and calculating lift requirements according to manufacturer requirements, and ensuring loads are safely attached before lifting. The operator must follow established job-site safety and work regulations, maintain a safe and clean work area, and identify and address safety hazards. A DOT physical must be passed. Requirements

NCCER or NCCCO certification for the type of crane operated.
Pass the Repcon Crane Operator and Rigging craft test.
Current Basic Orientation Plus (Safety Council Card), or a card that expires within three months.
Current TWIC card.
Three or more years of experience in the craft.
Pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

Operate cranes under supervision.
Inspect the crane routinely.
Lift, position, and place machinery, equipment, and other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.
Operate the crane according to signals.
Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
Read load charts and calculate lift requirements according to manufacturer requirements.
Ensure loads are safely attached to the crane before lifting.
Follow established job-site safety and work regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.
Identify safety hazards affecting oneself or other employees and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize them.
