About The Position

Superior Walls of Upstate New York is seeking a safety-focused, experienced Crane Operator to support the installation of our precast concrete foundation systems. In this role, you will safely transport, set up, inspect, and operate truck-mounted cranes at residential construction sites while working closely with our installation crews. The ideal candidate takes pride in operating equipment safely, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and contributing to efficient project completion. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CDL Class B license required; Class A Preferred.
  • Crane Operator Certified in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of crane operation or related construction equipment experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards related to crane operations.
  • Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and job site safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT medical examination.
  • Ability to complete required daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL Class A license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate truck-mounted cranes on residential construction sites.
  • Transport crane equipment to and from job sites.
  • Set up and stabilize the crane according to manufacturer specifications and job site conditions.
  • Perform pre-trip, daily, and monthly equipment inspections.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain the crane and hoisting mechanisms in clean, safe operating condition.
  • Operate crane controls with precision to lift, position, and place precast concrete wall panels.
  • Work closely with certified installers, truck drivers, and project crews to safely complete installations.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and company safety policies.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Carry basic tools for minor adjustments and field repairs as needed.
  • Complete required inspection reports and equipment documentation.
