About The Position

This is a 1st shift position responsible for various material handling and operational tasks within a manufacturing environment. Key functions include receiving and storing coils and dies, operating a crane, performing inspections, and setting up and changing dies in presses. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area and adhering to all safety regulations.

Requirements

Experience operating a crane.
Ability to complete receiving paperwork and input information in PLEX.
Proficiency in staging coils and removing banding.
Skill in maintaining housekeeping of storage areas.
Experience operating a floor scrubber.
Ability to perform daily crane and chain inspections and document findings.
Experience staging and returning dies.
Knowledge of monitoring external transfer press bolsters and completing changeovers.
Experience setting up and changing dies in presses.
Ability to install, position, and align dies in a press bed.
Understanding of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks and place coils in designated coil storage areas.
Complete receiving paperwork and input information into PLEX.
Stage coils and remove banding at feed lines, returning banded coils to storage.
Maintain housekeeping of coil storage areas, including alignment of coils, keeping floors clear of debris and mill oils, and emptying hoppers.
Operate a floor scrubber in coil and die storage areas.
Perform and document daily crane and chain inspections, reporting any identified issues immediately.
Stage dies and return dies to designated die storage areas.
Monitor the status of external transfer press bolsters and complete changeovers promptly.
Set up and change dies in presses according to production schedules.
Install, position, and align dies in the press bed.
Make recommendations for die set time reductions.
Perform other essential functions as assigned.
Adhere to all safety regulations.
