This role involves assisting cranes with rigging, setup, and load management, ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites.

Requirements

Be able to pass a DOT physical, drug and alcohol screen, and 7-year background check.
Have basic mechanical skills.
Must have a flexible schedule, be able to travel and work all days and times (company operates 24/7).
Must follow direction for supervision.
Must follow direction from the crane operator.
Have basic knowledge of crane and rigging considerations (hitches, shackles, load angles, load weights, center of gravity, tag line, etc.).
Must have basic knowledge of assembly/disassembly of crane and all components.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Wear required personal protective equipment while performing work.

Responsibilities

Help cranes rig up and down.
Flag loads with hand signals.
Aid in aligning, leveling, and setting up the crane.
Assist in assembly/disassembly under the supervision of the crane operator.
Be assigned as the designated signalman to help the crane operator attach, lift, move, and set loads.
Control movements of loads by way of a tagline and signaling of the crane.
Attach load lifting devices to the crane and to the load in a safe manner.
Ensure the safety of all involved by utilizing safe practices.
Aid in the cleanliness and housekeeping of the job site and mobile crane.
Pull trailers with a pickup for additional rigging and follow the crane to the job site.
Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
