About The Position

Spend your summer helping campers make something with their own hands. As a Craft Shop Associate, you'll teach craft and leather projects, adapt them for every age and skill level, and send kids home with something they're proud of. This is a live-in, residential role that requires active participation in a Christian ministry environment.

Requirements

A professing Christian with a personal faith
Creativity and comfort working with your hands
Patience and the ability to break a project down for different ages and skill levels
Organization and attention to detail in managing materials and camper projects
Interest in teaching and working with youth
Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment
Able to stand for extended periods and work in a hands-on shop environment
Able to lift and move up to 35 pounds
Must be 18 years of age or older
Employment is contingent on background and reference checks

Responsibilities

Instruct and assist campers in craft and leather shop activities
Adapt projects by age and skill level
Keep inventory updated and activity areas clean and organized
Prep materials and spaces before camp sessions begin
Ensure camper projects are labeled, stored, and returned properly
Maintain daily task lists and assist in the Leather Shop when needed
Join evening events and chapel when available
Assist with camper arrival and departure on weekends
Participate in camp activities planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, primarily after dinner hours
Flex into other roles and temporary assignments as needed
