About The Position

Manages all beer portfolio brands including but not limited to: purchasing, inventory control, reporting, tracking, POS, sponsorships, and promotions. This role involves coordinating beer purchasing, managing inventory levels for freshness, handling all beer-related Point of Sale (POS) materials, and training sales representatives on craft beer knowledge. The specialist will also coordinate draft beer surveys, act as a point of contact for beer suppliers, participate in promotions, and recruit new craft beer brands. Event coordination for craft beer events is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • State ABC license
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing software

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all beer purchasing on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Review inventory levels to maintain freshness and lower current levels.
  • Manage all beer-related POS, catalog items, and distribute information to sales teams.
  • Train sales representatives and managers on craft beer styles and brand information.
  • Coordinate branch draft beer surveys three times annually with On Premise staff.
  • Attend beer supplier meetings and reviews, acting as a main point of contact for suppliers.
  • Train and work with all sales personnel, participating in On Premise beer promotions.
  • Responsible for reporting and tracking for beer suppliers, keeping sales teams informed on goals and incentives.
  • Recruit new craft beer brands, including travel to potential new breweries.
  • Coordinate craft beer events, seeking out new events and arranging supplier sponsorships.
  • Possess knowledge of all Empire products.
  • Submit weekly schedule and itinerary.
  • Visit top draft accounts regularly with management or sales staff.
  • Conduct standard presentations on craft beer features and benefits.
  • Maintain notes on work performed and records of account visits.
  • Monitor utilization and effectiveness of point-of-sale materials.
  • Conduct business within the scope of all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain open communication with other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
