About The Position

The CPR/First Aid Instructor plays a critical role in educating individuals and groups on life-saving techniques and emergency response procedures. Requirements

  • Valid certification as a CPR and First Aid Instructor from an accredited organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross).
  • Demonstrated experience teaching CPR and First Aid courses to varied audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of current CPR and First Aid protocols and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and adapt teaching methods to meet learner needs.
  • Strong communication skills daily to clearly convey complex emergency procedures in an understandable manner.
  • Instructional skills are essential for adapting teaching techniques to suit different learning styles and ensuring participant engagement.
  • Organizational skills are used to prepare course materials, manage schedules, and maintain accurate certification records.
  • The instructor applies critical thinking to assess participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Staying updated with the latest medical guidelines requires continuous learning and the ability to integrate new information into training sessions effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in advanced life support or emergency medical response.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including children, elderly, and individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver CPR and First Aid training courses in accordance with recognized certification standards.
  • Assess participants’ skills and knowledge through practical demonstrations and written evaluations to ensure competency.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and certification issuance.
  • Stay current with updates in CPR and First Aid guidelines and incorporate changes into training materials and delivery.
  • Provide clear, patient, and encouraging instruction tailored to diverse audiences, including individuals, corporate groups, and community organizations.
