About The Position

The CPM Generalist will serve as a key support role for the CPM team, focusing on maintaining presentation materials, synthesizing competitor analysis, disseminating market information, and creating ad hoc materials for investors. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support product positioning, fundraising, and strategic AUM growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record
  • Minimum 4 years of prior experience in at least one of Capital Markets, Sales & Trading or Asset Management
  • Working knowledge of finance and alternative investments preferred
  • Strong writing skillset, including ability to synthesize complex financial concepts
  • Demonstrated superior Powerpoint skills with a proven ability to create visually engaging presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas; Both creative and commercial
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various groups
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness and desire to learn
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills; ability to manage multiple projects
  • Capacity to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Serve as point person for maintaining and regularly updating a centralized slide database, ensuring that all CPMs have access to the most current and impactful presentation materials to support client interactions.
  • Collaborate with competitor intelligence team to aggregate and synthesize competitor analysis data, providing actionable insights that support product positioning in CPM pitches.
  • Proactively share relevant headlines and market information with the US CPM team in real time, ensuring that all members stay informed and maintain a strong pulse on market dynamics.
  • Support creation of ad hoc, custom decks and materials for GWMS investor base.
  • Support CPMs as generalist in engagement with internal sales and external investors.
  • Proactively share information with sales teams by providing insightful resources (e.g., articles, data, etc.) that effectively support the fundraising process and enhance product understanding and positioning (taking direction from each CPM asset class lead).
  • Take on various ad hoc projects for the CPM team that add value, influence best practices, enhance client engagement and drive strategic AUM growth.
  • Partner with relevant asset class/fund family teammates in Product Management to ensure consistency in information shared internally and externally.
  • Drive scale for CPM team by creating uniformity in sales and investor engagement across products and sectors.
  • Develop thorough understanding of Apollo’s product suite.
