About The Position

A Turner Commercial Pest Control (CPC) Technician is responsible for performing inspections, implementing treatments, and maintaining exceptional communication with customers. These services include recurring pest control, service calls, and initial services for hospitality, hospitals, and other commercial businesses. Technicians may also provide overflow coverage of recurring services as deemed necessary by management. The daily tasks and schedules can vary based on service area and location, requiring flexibility. The role involves providing quality and effective pest detection, elimination, and prevention solutions to an established route of commercial customers, conducting interior and exterior inspections to identify pest conducive conditions, and safely driving a company vehicle. The job requires long periods of walking, kneeling, and squatting, potentially up to 7 miles per day. Technicians will establish effective working relationships with customers, use handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls and documents, provide customers with general information about services, conduct service calls as needed, and handle problem-solving and complaint resolution. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions, be able to calculate basic math equations, and not have a fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, tight spaces like crawl spaces and attics. They must be able to withstand long periods of squatting, standing, and walking, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator in some cases, is required. The role involves the safe use of portable ladders within specifications and OSHA regulations, and the ability to lift/move up to 50lbs. Excellent listening and communication skills, competence with new technology, organization, and the ability to manage their own daily route and navigate it with GPS are essential. Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety regulations are also key aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
