About The Position

Vista Equity Partners is seeking a Coverage Associate for its Capital & Partner Solutions (CAPS) team, specifically focusing on the Latin America region. The CAPS team manages capital formation and strategic partnerships for Vista's investment offerings. The client coverage team is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with limited partners globally, operating regionally to serve institutional and private wealth investors. This role will support investor relations and fundraising initiatives in Latin America, covering institutional investors, family offices, and private wealth platforms across various countries. The Associate will report to the Vice President leading the Latin America CAPS team and will work closely with the broader CAPS team and senior firm leadership. This position offers full-spectrum exposure to Vista's LP base in the region, with a small, flat team structure providing direct visibility to firm leadership and a deliberate talent development model. The initial 12-24 months will focus on building familiarity with Vista's products, LP base, and internal stakeholders, with the expectation of taking increasing ownership of relationships and developing into a coverage professional over time. Requirements

  • Fluent professional English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree from a leading institution, with 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience (graduating class of 2022 to 2024)
  • Strong academic record; progress toward the CFA or comparable accreditations is viewed favorably
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and genuine interest in the technology and software sector
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of accountability, organizational discipline, and attention to detail; with no task viewed as too small and every assignment approached as an opportunity to learn
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence, with the ability to build, codify, and promote processes and best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred backgrounds: private equity experience (investment team or investor relations experience) is most ideal, followed by sell-side investment banking or asset management. Strong candidates from private banking, management consulting, and related fields will also be considered. Prior fundraising experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship managers in delivering a complete LP experience through disciplined investor communication, including building briefing memos, meeting materials, talking points, and follow-up workflows.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for diligence and servicing of LP requests by applying technical knowledge of Vista’s platform, products, and structures.
  • Own the integrity and quality of LP coverage data, pipeline tracking, commitment history, and engagement records, maintaining the investor pipeline in collaboration with the Latin America coverage team.
  • Support the development of content for clients and prospects, including white papers, investment analyses, briefing memos, and PowerPoint presentations, and take ownership of recurring publications and ad hoc research projects.
  • Serve as the day-to-day connection point between Latin America LPs and Vista’s product management teams, managing investor requests, due diligence inquiries, and data room workflows.
  • Act as the “air traffic controller” for the Latin America team, sequencing internal and external priorities, managing competing requests, and ensuring senior bandwidth is deployed effectively.
  • Partner with Vista’s Strategic Initiatives team to develop custom structures, creative fundraising approaches, expand portfolio presence into Latin America, and support the sourcing of local transactions.
  • Support investor outreach and servicing with professionalism, maintaining close coordination with Product and Project Management teams around fundraising processes, investor engagement, and updates.
