About The Position

Under general supervision, the Courtyard Associate is responsible for serving guests from our Courtyard Bar and Grille and providing a friendly and legendary experience.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
  • Ability to make independent judgment regarding serving alcohol.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to perceive auditory and visual cues in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, turn, and reach.
  • Ability to use hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must report to work on time, in full uniform ready to begin work.
  • Uniform must include proper clothing, OSHA approved shoes, name badge, hair tied back, if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
  • Verify all guests who are ordering alcoholic beverages are at least 21 years of age through requesting valid identification.
  • Make independent judgment when to notify on duty manager if a guest is intoxicated and should no longer be served alcohol.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Ensure that all food & drinks are served according to the Lounge’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness, including clearing glasses, bottles and trash off tables and floor.
  • Set up mobile kitchen including slushie machines, wine stocking, ice, refill water on the grounds, etc.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standard and efficient operations.
  • Ensure that all mobile equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change (if applicable).
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow courtyard staff as situations arise.
  • Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Keep table & chairs configured to standard arrangements upon each group departing.
