About The Position

A Courtesy Clerk (Bagger) bags guests’ purchases promptly and efficiently and, upon request, transports purchases to guests’ automobiles and places them safely inside. The role also helps keep the parking lot clear of carts, follows safety policies during cart retrieval, removes clutter from carts, and wipes down kids’ carts before returning them to storage. The Courtesy Clerk fills bag slots and supplies needed for efficient front-end operations, assists with price checks and go-backs, and performs general housekeeping duties as assigned. The minimum age for this position is 14. Weekend shifts are required, including Sundays as applicable. Work takes place in a retail store environment, with possible exposure to hot or cold conditions. Team members may be accommodated as needed to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

Minimum age of 14 years.
Ability to perform the physical and sensory demands of the role, including frequently standing, walking, and bending; grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching; repetitive motion and eye, hand, and foot coordination; and hearing and responding to customer inquiries.
Ability to maneuver objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location.
Availability for required weekend shifts, including Sundays as applicable.

Responsibilities

Bag guests’ purchases promptly and efficiently.
At guests’ request, transport purchases to their automobiles and place them safely inside.
Return carts to their proper location in the store and follow safety policies regarding cart retrieval.
Remove clutter from carts and wipe down kids’ carts before putting them away.
Fill bag slots and supplies necessary for efficient front-end operations.
Assist with price checks and go-backs.
Assist with general housekeeping duties as assigned.
