About The Position

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a Court Services Supervisor 2 for the Criminal Division in the Hudson Vicinage. This role involves coordinating, evaluating, and leading a team of professional and support staff. The successful candidate will monitor and review criminal caseloads, interact with judges, staff, the New Jersey bar, and self-represented litigants to ensure efficient case processing. Responsibilities include developing statistical reports, assisting with backlog reduction, reporting on case and project status, and promoting excellence, innovation, productive communication, quality customer service, mentoring, training, and efficient resource utilization. The position also requires evaluating individual and team performance, mediating conflicts, and other related duties. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with community leaders and organizations are beneficial. Selected candidates may be required to work evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and/or holidays. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of professional experience.
  • One year of professional experience in case management; enforcement of court orders; and/or supervision, monitoring and intervention of offenders.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of general experience.
  • A law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of general experience.
  • Must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
  • Must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey within one year of hiring, unless an exemption is granted.
