About The Position

These positions will be part of the Court Services Domestic team. Job duties may include Mediation, Conciliation, Expedited Child Interviews or Child Custody Evaluations under the jurisdiction of the District Court. Conducting custody evaluations and child interviews involves communicating, interviewing, and interacting with parents, children, and other various personal and professional references who have had interaction with the family. You may be expected to conduct home visits as well. You will prepare reports for the Court and make recommendations in the best interest of the child regarding custody, parenting time, or parenting concerns. Providing Mediation and Conciliation services includes facilitating agreements between parties by providing direction and encouragement, finding creative ways to assist parents in working together towards mutual agreement, and possessing the ability to maintain control of the conversation during times of conflict or disagreement. You will prepare reports for the Courts relative to the service provided.
