The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Court Program Assistant to support our Family & Youth Justice Programs (FYJP). In this position, you’ll be an essential partner in keeping our programs running smoothly. Your skills in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and administrative coordination will help drive projects forward, support staff, and strengthen efforts that promote equity, dignity, and hope in courts serving families statewide. Requirements

  • Associate of Arts degree in business or a related field AND Four years of administrative program support experience. Relevant experience may substitute for the required education.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting busy teams in government, courts, or nonprofit environments.
  • Ability to manage workflows and track deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and comfort working with diverse partners.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and improving family-serving systems.
  • Interest in developing deeper knowledge of FYJP operations, AOC processes, and Washington’s court system.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain recurring administrative processes that keep FYJP operations functioning smoothly.
  • Provide high-quality logistical support for meetings, workgroups, and other team activities, including scheduling, preparing materials, note-taking, and tracking follow-up.
  • Create, organize, and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, pages, and file structures that support team workflows.
  • Use Microsoft 365 tools extensively—particularly advanced Excel, Teams, and Word—to produce polished, accurate, and reliable work products.
  • Support staff with drafting, formatting, and organizing documents and presentations.
  • Maintain internal resources and program information on SharePoint and AOC web platforms.
  • Manage inboxes, monitor requests, and ensure timely communication and routing of information.
  • Apply sound judgment in handling information, responding to questions, and identifying when issues should be escalated.
  • Participate in continuous improvement by helping identify workflow challenges and proposing practical, constructive ideas.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
