About The Position

To perform general court maintenance and repair of the tennis courts. This role is responsible for the daily maintenance of the outside operation, including the cleanliness of courts, facility, and equipment. It also involves daily preventive maintenance, refurbishing clay courts, and repairing irrigation systems. The position requires performing daily operating procedures for clay courts such as sweeping, lining, watering, filling water, and emptying trash cans. Additionally, the role involves working closely with pro shop staff on court maintenance activities and ensuring the cleanliness of indoor racquetball courts, mini golf, outdoor volleyball, shuffleboard, and basketball courts. The job also includes incorporating safe work practices and performing other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision.
• May be required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily maintenance of the outside operation which includes: Cleanliness of the courts, facility, and equipment daily preventive maintenance, refurbishing clay and repair of irrigation (sprinklers).
• To perform daily operating procedures for the clay courts, which include sweeping, lining, watering, filling water, empting the trashcans.
• Responsible for working closely with the pro shop staff on all court maintenance activities
• Responsible for cleanliness of indoor racquetball courts, mini golf, outdoor volleyball, shuffleboard, and basketball.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager
