Court Liaison

About The Position

The Court Liaison provides the Tarrant County Probate Judges with treatment recommendations regarding individuals presented to the Courts for Temporary Commitments. She also provides resource coordination information and serves as the designated liaison between the Probate Courts, District Attorney’s Office, local hospitals and MHMR Tarrant. The specific job function determines what percentage of the time the Court Liaison spends in the office or hospital. Meetings at the hospital will entail travel (often in the Court Liaison’s own vehicle).

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Health or Human Services.
Acceptable Degrees Include: Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Services field, Communication Disorders, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Education, Family Studies, Gerontology, Educational Psychology, Health Services, Human Services field, Human Growth and Development, Medicine, Nursing, Physician Assistant, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Services field, Social Work, Sociology, and Special Education.
One (1) year of experience in the related field (Health or Human Services).
Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Eligible to obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) certification.
Must provide license (if applicable) and official documentation of all educational attainment i.e. Transcript/Degree/Certificate.
