The Court Designated Worker (CDW) provides intake, assessment, diversion, referral, and case management services for youth and families involved in Kentucky’s juvenile justice system. Working collaboratively with courts, schools, law enforcement, and community partners, the CDW assesses complaints, identifies appropriate interventions, connects families with resources, and monitors compliance with diversion agreements. The position promotes early intervention, family engagement, and community-based solutions to improve outcomes for youth while reducing unnecessary court involvement. The position is in Hart County and covers Hart and LaRue counties. It is based at 209 West High Street, Hodgenville, Kentucky, and is not authorized for virtual work. The role requires on-call participation and travel throughout the assigned service area and occasionally statewide. Work is primarily performed in an office or similar indoor environment, with occasional contact with family situations involving heightened conflict, instability, and potential volatility.
