About The Position

Responsible for providing personal assistance to the judges, juries, and the general public; Handles communications between the judge and the jury during trials and hearings. This position is a part time position with a maximum of 24 hours per week.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, rules, regulations, and laws
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with judges, other law enforcement officers, attorneys, jurors, and the general public
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Constantly aware of and manage a professional appearance
  • Perform all duties in a professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Provides personal assistance for judges and juries in the courtroom
  • Calls witnesses for legal proceedings in the courtroom
  • Escorts jurors from central jury pool to designated courts
  • Assist district clerk personnel with jury pool duties
  • Locking and unlocking courtroom doors within the courthouse
  • Operate a computer
  • Other duties as may be assigned
