This position is for a Course Lecturer for LING 445 - Computational Linguistics for the Fall 2026 semester. The course covers foundational ideas in computational linguistics and natural language processing, including formal language theory, probability theory, estimation and inference, and recursively defined models of language structure. The emphasis is on both the mathematical foundations of the field and the application of these tools to understand human language. The teaching schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:05 PM to 2:25 PM. The course runs from August 31, 2026, to December 4, 2026, with contract dates from August 31, 2026, to January 5, 2027. The location is to be determined (TBA).
