About The Position
Several Course Assistant and Graders positions are available. These roles support professors in various aspects of course management and instruction.
Requirements
- Successfully completed graduate-level coursework in the area to which assigned.
- Achieved high grades in the same class they are assisting in (or an equivalent course as determined by instructor or professor).
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and analysis.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and strong time-management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the professor with course preparation before and during the semester.
- Maintain Latte (Learning Management System).
- Grade essays, exams, and homework.
- Assist with syllabus design.
- Write exam questions.
- Attend classes on a regular basis.
- Lead discussion sessions, science labs, and recitations.
- Teach an occasional class.
- Provide student advising.
- Hold office hours.
