About The Position

Together, Marken is UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics, serving as the clinical and advanced therapy part of UPS Healthcare. The Courier works on a two-person team picking up and delivering packages from local customer locations in the Newark, Delaware area. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 2:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on a four-day, 10-hour schedule. The driver is also expected to cover when other drivers are on vacation or sick leave.

The role involves loading and unloading shipments, scanning airbill and manifest information, and following safety, security, and operating procedures and all applicable laws. Candidates are subject to employment and education history verification, criminal background checks, a credit check, drug screening, and TSA testing. The position is permanent. A $1,000 sign-on/retention bonus is described for qualified candidates hired as of July 1, 2021, paid in two $500 installments after 90 days and six months of continuous service, provided the employee is active at payout.

Requirements

• Provide verifiable proof of a high school diploma, GED, or higher education.
• Have seven years of verifiable employment.
• Have a three-year clean driving record and maintain a clean, verifiable driving history.
• Pass a credit check, documented background check, criminal history check, and drug screen; complete the required 10-year employment/education history, including any periods of unemployment.
• Complete TSA testing.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid Class D driver's license; a CDL is not required.
• Meet and maintain MNX Driver Safety Standards.
• Be able to lift more than 70 pounds.
• Pass a UPS test and obtain a badge to enter the OAK airport.
• Be able to communicate in English, both in writing and speaking, and provide general direction to others.
• Meet U.S. work authorization requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver packages from local customer locations in the Newark, Delaware area as part of a two-person team.
• Load and unload shipments for delivery.
• Follow safety, security, and operating procedures for package pickup and delivery and for operating motor vehicles, while complying with federal, state, and local laws.
• Scan information on airbills and manifests.
• Cover for other drivers when they are on vacation or sick leave.
• Provide general direction to others.
