About The Position

Meritus Health is looking for dependable, service-focused Courier Drivers to join our team. In this role, you’ll travel between Meritus Health locations and designated community sites, making sure important items get where they need to go—safely, securely and on time. From laboratory specimens and medical supplies to interoffice mail and other time-sensitive materials, our Couriers play an important role in keeping our health system connected and operating smoothly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets requirements for operation of a Meritus vehicle.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to qualify for Meritus Health System vehicle insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

• One year of courier, delivery, logistics, transportation or customer service experience is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned routes and scheduled pickups and deliveries safely and on time.
• Transport laboratory specimens, including STAT and temperature-sensitive items, medical and office supplies, mail, cash bags and other secured materials.
• Provide friendly, professional service while representing Meritus Health throughout our organization and community.
• Follow established safety, confidentiality and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Communicate route delays, delivery concerns or service interruptions promptly.
• Safely operate an assigned Meritus vehicle and complete required vehicle inspections, mileage and fuel records.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and other required route documentation.
• Help provide route coverage when schedules or operational needs change.
