About The Position

The Courier is responsible for following detailed route instructions and schedules, recording and maintaining detailed logs, and securing keys and key cards. This role involves picking up, loading, unloading, and delivering a wide variety of supplies and other items. The Courier will safely operate Mercy Courier Vans, repeatedly enter and exit the driver and cargo areas, and document pick-ups and deliveries using tracking software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested (for those driving their personal vehicles).
• Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
• Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
• Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed route instructions and schedules.
• Record and maintain detailed logs as required.
• Secure keys and key cards at all times.
• Pick up, load, unload and deliver a wide variety of supplies and other items.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle, specifically the Mercy Courier Vans.
• Repetitively enter and exit the driver and cargo areas of the vans.
• Document pick up and deliveries using tracking software.
