About The Position

University Health is looking for a Courier who can keep up! As a Courier, you’ll be an important part of the team behind the scenes, making sure supplies, mail, materials, and other important items get safely and efficiently from Point A to Point B. You’ll travel between University Health campuses, offices, and affiliated locations—so no two routes are quite the same. You’re not just making deliveries. You’re helping keep healthcare moving.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED for employees hired effective May 1, 2006.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A valid Class B CDL for transporting patients/people, or a Class E CDL for transporting material goods.
• At least one year of related transportation experience.
• A clean driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
• No DWI or DUI citations or convictions on your driving record.
• Strong knowledge of Kansas City streets and major thoroughfares throughout the surrounding communities.
• Ability to successfully complete required drug testing.
• Ability to complete Body Mechanics and First Aid training.
• Ability to stay focused, alert, and professional while driving for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Hit the road and safely transport supplies, mail, materials, and other items between University Health campuses, offices, and affiliates.
• Navigate Kansas City and surrounding communities with confidence.
• Make sure deliveries arrive safely, accurately, and on time.
• Provide friendly, professional service to the people you meet along the way.
• Follow safe driving practices and University Health transportation procedures.
• Keep up with driving and transportation responsibilities throughout your full shift.
• Be a dependable link between the teams and locations that keep University Health running.
