About The Position
POSITION PURPOSE Performs all scheduled and unscheduled driving functions as assigned.
Requirements
- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED High School or Equivalent (GED)
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Entry Level
- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Must have valid driver license to operate a motor vehicle between Wisconsin and Illinois.
- Driving record must reflect insurability via Froedtert South’s automotive insurance carrier for authorized operation of fleet and at times patient/visitor vehicles (e.g., valet-related purposes).
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED Valid driver license and driving record that ensures insurability via Froedtert South’s automotive insurance carrier for authorized operation of fleet vehicles.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Possesses appropriate communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Ability to effectively verbally communicate with patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Transports mail (internal and U.S. Postal), substantial amounts of cash, sterile and non-sterile/soiled surgical equipment, bio-hazardous lab specimens/blood and medical instrumentation (including associated chemicals), linen (clean and soiled), pharmaceuticals, radiology-related documents, confidential materials/reports, medical records, and various sensitive/delicate medical-related equipment/materials to/from all campuses and clinics.
