About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Courier to support routes across Chula Vista, San Diego, San Ysidro, Bonita, and National City. The role involves picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The schedule provides weekend coverage, with additional weekday hours when necessary. A company vehicle is provided for the route.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to resolve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more of experience as a driver or medical courier.
• Six months or more of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Cover routes within Chula Vista, San Diego, San Ysidro, Bonita, and National City.
• Load the supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Operate the company vehicle safely and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with the dispatcher regarding additional pickups.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
