About The Position

This is a full-time position with a scheduled weekly hour of 40. The department is Mail-Fac & Services, and the work shift is UR - Day. The compensation range is $23.27 - $32.60 per hour. Individual salaries will be determined based on factors such as market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in logistics, engineering or business and 2 years of supervisory experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Operates heavy trucks or similar vehicles to pick up and deliver products, supplies and equipment to and from organization, supplier and customer sites.
  • Provides guidance to others with less experience.
  • Distributes daily work assignments, directs staff, including full-time, student, and temporary workers, manages performance expectations, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, approves leave and overtime, and assumes departmental responsibility.
  • Performs operational duties, tracks delivery movements, monitors routes and on-demand requests, ensures correct deliveries, consults with departments for scheduling, prioritizing deliveries, and manages records.
  • Monitors vehicle regulations and procedures, oversees vehicle utilization and maintenance, researches vehicle purchases, and ensures contingency plans.
  • Addresses customer and staff inquiries, implements solutions, maintains rapport with departments to prevent delivery delays, and provides status updates.
  • Ensures deliveries meet customer and department standards and enforces quality control processes.
  • Maintains a safe environment, ensures proper equipment use and certifications, updates disaster recovery plans, trains new hires, and monitors staff certifications.
  • Prepares routine and special reports, analyzes production and human resource data for efficiency, manages financial records, and reviews courier requisitions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
