About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in New York, NY. The role is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The courier handles specimens safely and efficiently, operates a company vehicle, and uses a handheld electronic device to manage pickups.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with rotating weekends. A second-shift differential applies. The company vehicle is provided for personal use, as stated in the job title.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Be punctual and have strong time-management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to problem-solve customer issues.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of driver or courier experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Coordinate with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
