Medical Courier/Driver - Company Vehicle Provided For Personal Use
About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Haddon Heights, New Jersey. The Courier is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The role includes a company vehicle for the route, with an option to take the vehicle home and use it personally for $125 per month. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; weekends and holidays may be required as needed. The pay range is $17.75–$22 per hour. Offers are based on relevant skills and experience, applicable degrees or certifications, internal equity, and market data.
Requirements
- No education or experience is required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong punctuality and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- One or more years of driver or courier experience.
- One or more years of customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
- Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
- Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
- Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
- Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
- Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
- Work with the dispatcher to handle additional pickups as needed.
- Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
- Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent client service.
