About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Coupling Operator - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD! The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm, M-F. The hourly rate for this position is $20 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from accredited institution
Must be able to use the computer.
Read and comprehend specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing routings.
Position requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat.
Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toed shoes for entire shift.
Ability to stand, sit, move 8-12 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining the deburring cell, digital inspection equipment, and bend press machine.
Inspect coupling retainers using inspection machines and print data.
Record manual measurement data utilizing basic inspection tools, such as a height gauge and drop indicator.
Use deburring tools, such as grinders and sanders, to remove raised edges and remaining material attached to coupling retainers.
Ream holes in coupling retainers and operate various automatic machines.
Perform tumbling and mechanical polishing on coupling retainers.
Bend raw material using automatic machine and inspect parts to ensure they are within specifications.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
