About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Coupling Assembler - 3rd Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD! The core hours are 11 pm - 7 am. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour + 10% shift premium. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution
  • Must be able to use the computer
  • Read and comprehend specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing routings
  • Position requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat
  • Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toed shoes for entire shift
  • Ability to stand, sit, move 8-12 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor set-ups and operate multiple machines, to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components.
  • Conduct the following operations : reaming, inserting hammer drive screws , peening operation and assembling hardware
  • Set up and operates bulge rivet machine to assemble retainers
  • Conduct ATP testing to requirements. Utilize QC Info software to view test specifications, set-up test fixture and perform ATP testing
  • Perform channel coating on parts to requirements as called out on the routers
  • Set -up and operate laser marker and understand customer requirements as called out on PMI sheets and perform hand marking operations
  • Read & sign off on production routers and record material types, lot numbers, and quantity required
  • Identify, locate, and kit hardware necessary to assemble retainers
  • Receive components into stock, generate & release assembly work orders, as well as understand sales order requirements
  • Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.
  • Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.
  • Train new and temporary employees on processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
