About The Position

Help CMSU fulfill its mission "To participate actively in a community-wide partnership to support residents of Columbia, Montour, Snyder, and Union Counties in achieving independence and personal development in order to enhance their quality of life." Our team is hiring part-time County Social Services Aide 1s work with our 24-7 Crisis Residential Program. This is a short-term alternative to hospitalization for anyone experiencing an acute crisis. If you want to help people find the community support and internal resources they need to make it through their darkest days, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Talk to individuals to help them come up with crisis plans and post-crisis plans such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Personal Medicine
  • Work with guests to help them learn and practice recovery oriented coping skills during their stay at our facility
  • Assist guests with activities of daily living such as budgeting, nutrition, and meeting their other health and life needs
  • Contribute to maintaining a clear, safe, and secure environment for our guests
  • Participate in continuing education activities and meetings
  • Adhere to all laws, regulations, rules, and policies related to outpatient recovery, confidentiality, and agency standards
