As a County Government Facility Security Officer in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed, and report access-related issues or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and assisting with security-related procedures during routine activities and unexpected events.
