Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas, noting and reporting conditions that could impact daily operations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access procedures and report suspicious, disruptive, and/or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with maintaining order at the location by following post instructions, communicating with site contacts, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrols, and/or visitor activity.
